I was selected by Virgin as a prize winner...apparently . Same as last time lots of buzzing and hard to get rid of. Wiped history and cleaned phone. Samsung android.

Could only get rid of it by switching off WiFi and data and to make sure switching on airplane mode and clearing everything I could think of in settings/history and anti virus.

Query, my wife is BT and I was using it when this popped up, can it be programmed to identify the broadband server to make it more plausible?

I've just had one of these too. Closed the browser page on my phone and it went away.

I'm on Samsung android but it had my isp in the title.

I got one of the pop up ads on my phone, same as others congratulating me on winning an ipad (BT user). Tried to close it but it kept coming back. Have got rid for now. Just reporting it to MN.

Another one here - Chrome browser on am Android phone - off a thread in legal matters. Didn't screen shot, sorry - was too busy trying to get rid of all the insistent vibrating and pop ups - but I did notice it was some sort of question about how long I'd been with Tiscali (I'm not and never have been).

This has happened several times today - I posted on the other thread. Most recently it's happened twice within a few minutes. Once as I tried to login and once when I opened this thread. Seriously, this is happening far too often now. As much as I love MN I don't think I can be bothered to constantly close the site and then login again. This is very similar to what happened several times earlier in the year. Each time we were told that it was something to do with the adverts and that tech was dealing with it. Clearly it's not been solved. Not sure how much longer I am prepared to risk my phone for this.
