Scroll up a bit, and there's a drop down menu next to where it says 'Talk' in big letters. Click on 'acronyms' for the list.

Here you go

Just in case the 'here you go' comment has confused you, OP. Here you go :

On this note, when I joined there used to be guidelines on what not to use like text speak, hunning and kisses etc

This would be so great if they could bring it back.

FruVikingessOla · 10/09/2016 17:48

The guidelines are still here www.mumsnet.com/info/netiquette, but I don't think that any info about text speak, hunning and kisses is on there. Maybe it was on a thread somewhere?

As an aside, I got an email from a friend of mine yesterday saying "hi hun". We are both in our 50s and she's never called me 'hun' in the 20+ years we've known each other. I was not impressed Hmm Grin

That is my complaint Fru, when I started posting about 10yrs ago, I knew what not to do. There are no guidelines these days so new posters come on 'hunning' and 'lolling' and all sorts of really annoying irritations and you can't refer them to anything.
