That had nothing to do with privacy. The OP wanted it deleted because she didn't like the way it was going. There was a time when threads like that meandered happily on to increasing levels of ridiculousness and ended up in Classics.

If you're so keen to protect your privacy, why plaster your life all over the Internet? Op threw a strop because she thought she was on Netmums didn't get the sympathy and head pats she was looking for.

I don't understand what privacy issues were implicated, no identifying details were given other than OP was pregnant, aware of the babies sex, had a magic cake made which knew the future gender and her MIL is Polly Pissypants.

I'm really surprised there's no mention of sockpuppeting on the deletion message.

Oh, and she posed the op as a question; then took umbridge when people actually answered the question, claiming she'd never actually asked for their opinions at all . Nuts.
