i am not of 'sandwich generation', i dont care for an elderly parent. Even though is use SN to discuss caring stuff it doesnt realy fit there. I am not a disabled parent so dont fit there either.

I think the Sandwich generation topic is too specific and think carers would be a good idea then it would cater for everyone.

Hmm, funnily enough Misdee I was thinking about this last night (that you fall outwith those categories). Carers rather than the Sandwich Generation may be an answer

misdee · 31/01/2007 10:33

in |RL i dont fit anywhere either. most carers meetings are either about caring for elderly relatives or young children. not much out there for people who care fior their partners or friends.

good idea misdee. would it be somewhere people could talk if woried about parents though?

misdee · 31/01/2007 18:43

of course it would be, wouldnt it?

i started a carers thread a little while ago, and people were caring for children, welderly relatives, partners and friends.

Hiya,
Just wondered if anyone has got any ideas for a more inspirational name for this topic than carers? We've been racking our, admittedly not voluminous, brains and have come up with zilch... Might just have to be carers...

fussymummy · 02/02/2007 12:46

Maybe you could have different carer groups.

I care for someone with mental health poblems.

So perhaps use the heading as 'Carers' and then different group subjects.

If this makes sense?
