It seems to feature in so many thread titles - and it invites a certain level of comment IYSWIM, definitely different from a support thread or one asking for sympathy. I reckon it would be a useful section. What do others think?

I was just thinking that! Great minds and all that...

MrsBadger · 19/01/2007 10:46

[restrained round of applause for using Latinate plural]

Good idea.

Greensleeves · 19/01/2007 18:03

bumping for further consideration

Anyone else think cod's new name can be easily read as condom?

MrsJohnCusack · 19/01/2007 22:14

oh god if there's a weather section DH might start wanting to post on here - he's obsesses with it

also terribly pleased with the 'ae' in the title. Gives Mumsnet an air of scholarly endeavour

MrsJohnCusack · 19/01/2007 22:15

[whilst I ruin any scholarly pretensions with my haphazard typing]

calmontheoutside · 19/01/2007 22:31

MrsJohnCusack. Saw your name and have been looking out for you. I'm sure I have loved him longer.

Edam · 19/01/2007 22:35

Greeny, hesitate to mention this, but think using 'ae' ending would qualify as 'wanker's latin' according to Amo Amas Amat And All That (v. good book, btw, worth checking out).

MrsJohnCusack · 19/01/2007 22:46

lol at 'wankers latin'

calmontheoutside - no chance

calmontheoutside · 19/01/2007 22:54

And yet hmm ...

MrsJohnCusack · 19/01/2007 23:00

am also called this because DH bears a striking resemblance to JC (maybe not quite so much now, but at the time High Fidelity was out, it was v.creepy, especially as he worked in a record shop then...)

colditz · 19/01/2007 23:04

Yes. I love those moral dilemmas (yeah yeh - nob off!) and it is even more fun if there is a chance someone might do wht you suggest.

so glad it's not just us Califrau!
DH specifically asked for a particular weather station for Christmas. it is for 8 year olds and has a project book - which he is FOLLOWING. the shame...

yes I get fed up when he tells me about the weather
I mean, i can see it's pissing down by looking out of the window and that's all I need to know. Air pressure, rainfall, wind speed - couldn't care less.

wickedwaterwitchhaspmt · 23/01/2007 22:42

Good idea.

Can we also have an instant vote on things? Only once a week or something. Could be silly things, doesn't have to be serious. Could be in chat. Or could be user defined votes so 'all please vote on whether my dh is a tosser' ? Or is that a bad idea?
