I tried posting a message on a thread earlier and it said the thread had closed. Then about 15 mins later another poster posted on it Confused

It works if you're on a tablet I believe.

I think it's if you're using the app, not a tablet.

cozietoesie · 20/05/2016 13:13

The app currently has no posting block on 1k threads.

AnnMumsnet · 20/05/2016 13:13

Do you mean like a sponsored thread marked as "closed" in the subject line? If so we mark them as closed to indicate the prize draw has been done but we don't lock them or anything and often folks post a few more times on it (I don't know why!)

bumbleymummy · 20/05/2016 13:14

Hi Ann, no, just a thread that had reached 1000 messages.

The app may not have inbuilt posting blocks at all for all I know, Ann. It's not just the question of 1k threads (of which there are fairly few) which is a mild concern - but of what other rules are not carried across.

cozietoesie · 20/05/2016 13:20

Out of interest, I just checked a 'closed' sponsored thread and there didn't appear to be any posting barriers there either.

bumbleymummy · 20/05/2016 13:31

I just tested and yes, I was able to post using the app. Very strange!

A minor flaw.

I think - apart from its little local problem with bookmarks - that the app is a very serviceable tool. (Given that it's never going to have the functionality of the main site.)
