Deleted accounts

Does Mumsnet delete user accounts without warning? A couple of weeks ago I couldn't' get into my account so set up a new one. Today I was logged out, my password doesn't work and none of the 8 (!!!!!) new password links I've requested have arrived to my account (for either account).

Does that mean my accounts have been deleted?

I don't think I did anything!

We never ban bona fide posters without warning.
If you're new and you've come on to MN purely to be inflammatory then we will promptly show you the door

I had no warning on either account, and I don't think I was rude or inflammatory on either. I had had one account for a long time and the other was new just because I couldn't get in on the original account.

I wasn't goady. And my accounts weren't linked as I used different email addresses (just in case the problem with not getting reset emails was with the email provider). I only set up a second account because the first one stopped letting me in.

I had a second account once as I couldn't remember my password to name change.
HQ very nicely explained it wasn't on and asked which account I would like deleted.

Not the answer I was expecting to see, it's usually check your mail boxes sorry about that etc,

It absolutely is peace and love in the towers but at the same time, we try and keep this place as Troll Free as we can.

I have been banned twice without warning.

Weirdly, on both occasions, it was instantly reversed when I pointed out that I wasn't guilty of anything but having an unpopular view.

IMO, the towers do whatever will keep the majority happy. Theoretically, a true-blue poster is never going to be someone they ban, therefore they would (when it came down to it) never need to inform someone first.
