Would it be an idea to have a like/dislike button on posts? It would save SO much hot air and posting and reposting from people.
Also, is it possible please to link to other posters when you post? As an "@" button?

It seems like we have very mixed views on this idea. Would everyone who has thoughts on the subject like to reply with a simple yay or nay, and in the meantime we'll have a think at MNHQ?

Thank you for the suggestion OP - we have been through this a few times now, and it always quite strongly leans towards no. We do like discussion over here on MN and items like a "like" button do tend to discourage discussion in the place of a quick "like".
