Replying to pms gone all weird - ok!

When I try to reply to pms on both ipad and my pc I'm getting a pop up box saying 'Mumsnet says - ok'
My reply does not end up being sent, so now I have people potentially thinking I'm ignoring them - Im not!

Hi OhYouBadBadKitten - are you using the desktop or mobile site? Which device and browser are you using? Are you happy to take a screenshot of the error message?

Also, did you have any characters in the message, e.g. < or > ?

Desk top, safari on ipad and chrome on pc. I'll have to email you a screen shot (later!) wouldn't be fair to the person I'm pming otherwise!
