do you get notified when a thread is deleted?

When you delete a thread does it just disappear from the threads I'm on list or do you post a deletion message? I was on a thread (vernon) but it's just disappeared from my threads I'm on. Assume it's been deleted but not sure as no message

I think if you are on mobile or desktop site you do but not the App.
I'm on the App so miss out on the funny deletion messages

Ah I'm on the Ap too. Mumsnet, can't we get the funny deletion messages too?! It's victimisation!

If it makes you feel any better, the deletion messages aren't funny very often these days. Majority of the time it's just a boring message.
