Do you think MN could get Dr Chris and Dr Xand in for a Web chat? Kids health, general medicine, tv presenting, medical studies etc?

Everything stops in this house for OO. They've just demonstrated why dd needs to drink enough water. I'd told her she needed light pee and her kidneys needed water too but couldn't remember why until I saw their snazzy kidney demo.

It's one of the programmes I always sit down with the dc's (9 & 7) to watch.

I caught a bit about it on the BBC news this morning, something about a measles outbreak (largely unvaccinated population). Did anyone catch the detail?

Ooo, we love OO in this house (and it helps that the doctors are quite easy on the eye ). I have quite a good knowledge of medically things, but I have still learnt loads

We love it. It really helped before my little one had an op. Both for little one to see what hospital was like and for big one to understand a little of what was happening.

Operation Ouch is the best programme on children's tv! My DD loves it and had learned so much about the body. She wants to be on it to talk about het diabetes but she also had a bit of a crush on Xand (in the green scrubs!) I just like the way they explain complicated concepts in simple ways.

If there is a web chat could you do it for outside school hours/a weekend so as our children can participate?

I saw one of the doc, not sure which one, on BBC Breakfast this morning, talking about that programme and so eloquently about the migrant crisis. I think I fell a bit in love with him tbh.

I looked them up in wiki, and they've been involved with international medical/humanitarian charities for rather longer than they've been doing children's telly.

Have they? Good on them. I love them more now.

My daughter loves it, and it helped her when she needed to have a camera down her throat as she'd seen it done on OO. Great programme.

DS1 loves this. He was slightly when they had the placentae on, earlier. Some of the bendy kids they've had on have helped him to understand his own overly bendy bits a little better.
