is in trending ATM despite it being six months since the last post on there.

This is 'trending' thing is like being shown a stranger's browser history

Morning Gooseberry,

The way the Trending function works is, every 5 minutes we get the list of top viewed threads from Google Analytics and we just display the first 5 of those.

So essentially, Trending represents the most viewed threads, not the most posted on (or the most recently posted on).

We are able to manually exclude things from the Trending block if we think they're attracting the wrong sort, though. Wink

Hope that explains things.

It's probably because it got a mention in the 'What's your favourite MN thread' thread and everyone was having a nose.

I miss the Discussions of the day. I used to like the cheesy humour of the mini titles. Now I hardly ever see them because I have to click on it manually and I rarely ever think to. Instead you get misspelled, incomplete titles, it doesn't look as polished. And I probably do click on things from there fairly often as they catch my eye but only as much as I would have clicked on them from Active anyway.

I wish we could choose to see DotD first instead.

I just double checked, it's 'most memorable MN story' rather than favourite and someone mentioned showing the CP bumsex thread to her DD for some reason.
