All of those ads are AdChoices ads - so what have you been searching?!?! You can tell the AdChoices ads because they have a small, blue, triangular arrow in the top right hand corner.

MN hosts a couple of AdChoices spaces (which is an income stream for them) but the ads that appear on the AdChoices spaces are generally to do with your own internet searches - or threads you've read on here.

If you don't like the AdChoices ads that you see, then let MNHQ know and they can block them.

Based on your ads your life is far more interesting than mine.

I get the death records ad too but I have recently searched death records so it seemed reasonable.

But I also get "Transform Your Body!!! for £3 a Month!!"

Which is rather insulting. (and impossible)

DP and I are temporarily sharing a laptop at the moment - all the ads I'm seeing are bloody cars!!!!

I know it's adchoices, but I swear I don't get these ads on other sites, and I swear I have no interest in a 7-axis humanoid robot arm and have been served these ads for months.

Fru, I swear I do know adchoices works on your browsing history (the expensive shoe ads I got for weeks after looking at Manolos once - once!) but only on MN do they try to sell me industrial fabrication equipment.

I just generally swear.

Well I don't know what YOU would do, but I'm planning on building an awesome Bond-villain's lair.

Think back 5-10 years... Have you bought meccano/Lego/a marble run for a small child - by now they should surely be making robot arm stuff?

With those items, if one were McGyver, one could pursue world domination.

Maybe you were looking for 6-axis humanoid robot arms and adchoices thought you might want to push the boat out a bit?

I've been thinking about this.

Robot arm - Evil villains trying to take over the world would like robot arms. Those and eye patches.

Business Analytics - Useful to run large organisation, possibly an evil empire.

Death Records - A list of dead voters to possibly rig an election.

Ball screws - I assume is some form of torture device for men.

To put it another way, I am very very worried about the OP.
