What's this new "message hidden until MNHQ can take a look at it" thingy?

Just seen this on a thread (the one with the wedding poem), not seen it before.

Presumably if someone reports a post during the night, it gets this message to replace the post so that something offensive doesn't hang around all night..? Or is there more to it that that?

OP posts:

Hmm is it automatic do you think?

FishWithABicycle · 28/01/2016 04:15

I've not seen this. Is it consistent for a specific poster? Perhaps someone who often posts inappropriately might be put on probation and have all their posts subject to scrutiny. Or perhaps it is triggered if a threshold number of people report the post?

Nightwatcher · 28/01/2016 04:24

It's when the Nightwatch has hidden a message or thread during the night. Nightwatchers are volunteer moderators filling in for MNHQ when the UK is asleep.

It means the OP may be a troll but they are not sure because of the content/reports.

They will be in the middle of messaging the OP and finding out what is what.

Sorry Nightwatcher is right.

I missed the night part. Blush

It's not that new ive seen a few on ones that are reported to night watch for the reasons night watcher said

Hi all - what Nightwatcher said is absolutely right. We then look at what's been hidden in the morning.
