Why do i need to log in twice everytime I come onto the site?

I have been a mumsnetter for a good few years but took a break after my details were taken in hackergate.

Since hackergate I have moved house and have a new computer. No one else in the house uses mumsnet. This computer has never until christmas been used for looking at mumsnet.

I decided to rejoin mumsnet the other day. I set up a totally new email address and rejoined under a totally new name.

I have logged in 4 or 5 times maybe since I joined. I dont keep myself logged in as its a shared family computer. I have taken care every time to type in the proper web address and checked for the green padlock when I log in but once I navigate away from the login page to chat or active threads or threads i'm on - it asks me to log in again.

Is this a new thing? And am I just being paranoid or is something amiss?

Im usng chrome on windows10.

Could we just ask what you mean by navigating away from the log-in page? Do you mean once you're successfully logged in?

When you're asked to log-in again, what is the URL of the page? Are you happy to screenshot it for us so we can take a look? Thanks again.
