why do I keep having to log in twice?

My password is very long now (safer, obviously) so it's hyper-annoying to keep having to type it in twice. It's happening on the laptop but also on the phone. What's going on??!!

This happens to me on the mobile site too (Android)

It stopped for a couple of weeks recently and has started up again

You type all the bloody new complicated password in and it goes right back to the sign in page for you to do it again

Well, you get into the site but if you click on threads "I'm on" for example, it will say "you need to log in to see this page" and present you with the login screen again. PITA. Although actually it didn't do it just now...

Hi both - thanks so much for flagging this. Are you using incognito/private browsing when you get this happening?

Of course it hasn't happened since!! But yes I will do that when it happens next.
