Freezing

Does anyone using an iPad ever find that Mumsnet just freezes for a minute or so?
When it happens I can't scroll up or down and can't even click to close the window. It only ever happens with mn. This iPad is fairly new so if the problem is with the device I need to take it back.
It isn't too troublesome but I would like to know. Thanks.

Yes, I've noticed this over the past few days - I can do nothing with it for about a minute - so far only noticed in on MN.

Hi both - are you using the mobile site with Safari? Are you noticing the site freezes at a particular moment? e.g. loading a thread?

Have you checked that your iOS and browser are up to date?
Some Mumsnetters have noticed huge improvements with the site after updating these.

Yes that's what I'm using and am all updated - no this time there's no rhyme or reason to the freeze, it happens when I'm reading a thread and trying to scroll up/down, or when I'm trying to get out of a thread - the thread doesn't have to be particularly long or anything.

Mine is exactly the same. I use Safari and suddenly it freezes, won't scroll and the iPad won't click off either. It only lasts a minute or two at most then it is fine. It only happens with Mumsnet and it does happen on both iPad mini and iPad Air.

This is happening to me as well, wondered if it's those annoying little video adverts that I never watch but am aware of, bit like an annoying fly buzzing round your ears.

This is a new I pad air and all up to date.

And here, all up to date, Safari on iPad. Drives me nuts.

Hi all - as Tootsiepops has said, there may be an issue with one or more ads causing this problem to occur. Has anyone else noticed any particular ads on the page when this happens?

mine is the same. No idea which ad is causing it though.

Mine seems to have settled down now. It hasn't frozen for a couple of days now.

Mine had stopped freezing but it's started again late this afternoon - I think the ad at the top is the same each time. It seems to be a picture of space with maybe a wee space station or two - maybe it's for O2?

If I go up to the ad to try and see it makes the freezing worse/more frequent.

Mine to safari, keeps saying error reloading page going round and round reloading nothing happens.
Fine today so far fingers crossed.
