It won't let me reply to a PM or initiate one.

Any reason or is it just me?

It appears there have been problems with PMs for a while.

If you scroll down Site Stuff - just a wee bit - there are a few threads about PMs. MNHQ has commented on all of those threads.

Hi AnnaMarlowe - Fru is right, there have been a few issues with PMs recently. Could we just ask what is happening when you try to send one?

Had this problem when trying to reply to a pm from my in box and also when trying to pm via a post.

When you have written your message and pressed send a small box appears with this in it

Strangely, it only seems to be a problem when I insert a smiley!

Hi FriedSprout - Tech have advised us that the issue with PMs is being caused by certain characters, e.g. smileys, so this is really helpful. Would you mind letting us know which smiley you were using? Thank you.
