Happened to me too

AgentProvocateur · 31/10/2015 11:38

It's been happening to me for a while on and off. Started a thread about it, but it was just before Jeffreygate, so (understandably) I didn't get an answer.

IonaMumsnet · 31/10/2015 12:46

Sorry about this. We'll ask someone to take a look at this. Don't suppose you can remember which thread you were clicking on when it took you to the ad? No worries if not, but would be helpful if you can remember.

PseudoBadger · 31/10/2015 14:09

Iona for me it was the guest post about autism

And again, with the download failed screen, on this thread www.mumsnet.com/Talk/_chat/2498805-Anyone-a-police-officer-detective-inspector-chief-constable

Again for me when following an 'I'm on' link to the thread about wedding photographers. An advert for a game (I think?) popped up first before taking me to the app store to download the William hill thing

PseudoBadger · 01/11/2015 11:06

And again on threads I'm on

GuzzleBloodTastyDrink · 01/11/2015 11:41

Happened again - clicking a link on active threads. Pop op of this advert for game of war, when you click the cross to close it you get taken to be William Hill app in the App Store. I've done a screen shot for you.

Thanks very much for all the info and screenshots - we've alerted our Ads team and they'll check this out.

CarpeJugulum · 04/11/2015 07:37

This has just happened to me about three times in quick succession.

I was on this thread then moved to this thread and then it finally did it again when I clicked on Active.

If it helps, I'm on an iPhone using Chrome and the mobile site, and running iOS 9.

ColetteTech · 04/11/2015 12:42

Thanks all, we've got in touch with our ad partners and they've blocked the ads involved, hopefully this will stop bothering you all now. Could you let us know if that's not the case?

GrizzlebertGrumbledink · 04/11/2015 12:45

It just happened again, I guess it's only been a few minutes since you've let us know that they should have stopped...

GrizzlebertGrumbledink · 04/11/2015 13:19

I think it's happening more frequently now Hmm twice now I've clicked on active threads. I wonder if I'm getting everyone's share for complaining about it

CarpeJugulum · 04/11/2015 16:43

Still happening. Via this thread now.

DawnMumsnet · 05/11/2015 13:09

Grrr, again? We're so sorry.

Thanks for letting us know - we'll alert our Ads team now.

GrizzlebertGrumbledink · 05/11/2015 16:44

Still happening I'm afraid

GrizzlebertGrumbledink · 05/11/2015 21:29

Ah ha looks lidl it's not a MN problem: sorry it's a mirror link

PseudoBadger · 05/11/2015 21:32

A ha! I was beginning to think it was a Chrome problem

CarpeJugulum · 06/11/2015 07:27

All it's done is ensure that I NEVER use William Hill!
