Is interrupting my prevarication from work by self-starting loudly after each page change. It's a video thing sponsored by Asda.

I have a cat on lap with sharp claws and the self-starting Video Thing is also startling lap cat, leaving me with 16 injuries per incident.

Please make it stop.

(I'd turn down the volume but that's interrupting my other prevarication from work.)

Thanks in advance, WWK and her lap cat.

I've switched to the mobile site, but it seems really slow this evening.

Madamscorp · 20/10/2015 21:19

I am using the mobile site
Its still doing it

RomComPhooey · 20/10/2015 21:20

I just came on to post the same thing. I can't fucking see it on the mobile site, but I can bloody well hear it! Enough already MN!

CorporeSarnie · 20/10/2015 21:27

Horrible noisy ad. Please stop it, the damned thing loads at the bottom of the page so I have to rush to scroll down before it wakes snoring baby (who should not be cosleeping but has been such a pain to settle that I've given up). Have turned off noise now Sad.

VulcanWoman · 20/10/2015 21:54

Jurassic Park, it's overriding my pop up blocker some how.

VulcanWoman · 20/10/2015 21:55

Plug-ins.

lifesalongsong · 20/10/2015 21:59

I'm getting the black box again but so far none of the annoying shouty sounds out of nowhere.

I thought this was sorted out after the threads last week+

MardyBra · 20/10/2015 22:00

Logged back in several hours later and it's still doing it.

So no MNing for me tonight.

It's bad enough that the site crashes so frequently on the iPad anyway.

Anyway I'm off.

Blu · 20/10/2015 22:17

Yes, it is an ASDA ad for a Blu Ray Jurassic Park DVD.
And I keep being on double post threads, too!

Noisy 'Raptors in the server room at MNHQ?

lucjam2015 · 20/10/2015 22:32

argh its awful

elephantoverthehill · 20/10/2015 22:37

I am slightly concerned about the slowness of the site tonight too. I know it is not a problem with my broadband as everything else is ok. Are the raptors invading Mumsnet?

LizzieMacQueen · 21/10/2015 13:19

This is still happening every time I click onto Active Conversations. I have to quickly pick one to read before the ad starts playing.

Please tell me how to remove it.

WowOoo · 21/10/2015 13:22

It's awful and means I can't have the radio or spotify on at the same time.
Please get rid of it.

Fugghetaboutit · 21/10/2015 15:49

How much longer am I going to see that Jurassic fecking park advert pop up?!

Fugghetaboutit · 21/10/2015 15:50

Happens every few minutes

FurryTrousers · 21/10/2015 21:03

This is driving me crazy!!!

RomComPhooey · 21/10/2015 21:20

I thought it had gone, but NO - it is back again this evening. Hateful bloody advert!

LettuceLaughton · 21/10/2015 21:24

Yeah, it's a real PITA. Am surprised it's not gone yet, MNHQ are usually pretty swif with this sort of thing Confused

I have adblooker disabled for MN but it's been on since the third time that damned advert came up. It was making active convos all jumpy and slow as well as shouting.

YetAnotherHelenMumsnet · 21/10/2015 21:30

Yikes, we're really sorry about this. It will probably be the morning now but we will poke the techs again.

MardyBra · 21/10/2015 23:04

It's stopped now for me.

Fugghetaboutit · 22/10/2015 03:30

Still happening

FurryTrousers · 22/10/2015 09:57

Yes still appearing...

DawnMumsnet · 22/10/2015 13:17

Just letting you all know that our Ads team are on the case - we'll report back as soon as we can. Flowers

ColetteTech · 22/10/2015 15:42

Thanks for the reports everyone, we don't allow these kind of adverts on site and it's definitely not our intention to disrupt anyone with ads that play sound automatically.

This should no longer be an issue but please let us know if you're experiencing otherwise. Thanks.

Fugghetaboutit · 22/10/2015 16:16

Haven't noticed it now, hopefully it's sorted!
