Where can I find a topic/post I have bookmarked?

I was reading a thread yesterday and bookmarked the last post in the thread so I could catch up later. How do I find the thread again? I didn't 'watch' the thread, so it's not in there and I didn't post so it's not in 'I'm on'.

Hi lotusisaddictive - PolterGoose is right. You'll need to find the thread using search or have a hunt through the list in the correct topic.

Unless you've cleared your device since you were reading it, the threads you've looked at should show up as a different colour so you can look for those colour changes as well. (If you opened every thread or cleared the device post reading then you're stuck with the above, I'm afraid.)

Yeah, great system isn't it Hmm

Why on earth they're not just added to the Watched thread list I'll never know.

Simurgh · 14/09/2015 13:44

I guess because, for example, there might be occasions when you're in the middle of reading something, bookmark it quickly because eg a pot is boiling over, go back and decide after reading some more that it's not worth staying with it.

There's always the option to Watch if you want to and I know for myself, that automatically adding bookmarked threads to a Watch list would probably result in something so unwieldy that it would be almost useless in practice.

Perhaps it depends how you do things yourself really. Smile

Lovely use of yer classic PA smiley, don't see much of that about these days.

I can't see how adding bookmarked threads to the watch list could be any more unwieldy (or unnecessary) than adding every thread a posted on to the watch list is, TBH. Thank goodness we can opt out.

Before bookmarking came in I had a sort of 2 or 3 tier system with watched treads. No bother. I CBA to bookmark and Watch so, yeah, I lose quite a few threads.

Luckily none of this is actually very important.

Thanks everyone, I did find the thread again and the bookmark was really useful.????I've been reading a few of the classic posts and being able to bookmark where you're up to is brilliant, no more scrolling through pages and pages Smile

Lack of bookmarking was the main thing that put me off the old App. Smile

I've grown used to it on the main site but even if I hadn't, I think I'd have found the endless scrolling to be tiresome and offputting.
