Does anyone else mumsnet in the dark?

CleverPlansAndSecretTricks · 09/09/2015 17:22

There is a new mumsnet app in the testing stages.

Most of my mumsnetting is done in the dark while feeding baby back to sleep. I would LOVE it if there could be an extra dim "night mode" with less blue light.

Who is with me?? Grin

I put my phone into reverse colours at night. Its in settings under accessibility, "negative colours"

SueGeneris · 09/09/2015 17:27

Me, absolutely me. It hurts my eyes even with my phone brightness right down. It keeps me awake when I'm feeding the baby in the night.

SueGeneris · 09/09/2015 17:28

Ooh must try reverse colours, not heard of that.

SueGeneris · 09/09/2015 17:29

Wow, it's weird like this!

DonkeyOaty · 09/09/2015 17:30

On my phone it's black with orange writing. Bizarre at first! Slide brightness right down.

CleverPlansAndSecretTricks · 09/09/2015 17:30

Ooo reverse colours is good! Thanks!
Still too much blue light though.

Grin
EeyoresTail · 09/09/2015 17:35

Thank you Donkey I wish I knew that before. That will come in very useful Flowers
I won't be using it to prank my DP, that would be childish Grin

Eminado · 09/09/2015 17:37

Yes when i am stuck on the "parental seat of darkness".

Which is most nights these days.

CleverPlansAndSecretTricks · 09/09/2015 17:38

Lol Eyorestail that's an idea! Did you discover grayscale too?

OP posts:
EeyoresTail · 09/09/2015 17:45

I don't have greyscale. Am on android, could it be an iPhone thing?

DonkeyOaty · 09/09/2015 17:47

Nope no greyscale here - android too.

Happy to help Eeyore.

CleverPlansAndSecretTricks · 09/09/2015 18:06

Yes, maybe it's an iPhone thing.

Holy crap this is weird. I like it Grin

CleverPlansAndSecretTricks · 09/09/2015 19:30

Right, focus people.
Who is joining my "we need a night mode in the new app" campaign? Mumsnetting in bed needs you!

OP posts:
FattyNinjaOwl · 09/09/2015 19:32

I'll join you. I've got a 5 week ol who Jeeps me up so I need night vision (I also need the android app to hurry up!)

pluck · 09/09/2015 20:58

Spoooky! Thank you, Donkey!

I've got a photographic negative baby glaring at me about Bumpfest...

pluck · 09/09/2015 21:01

I've just gone into my Gallery and seen a nwgative video of the DC in the garden! With purple grass!

And there's a freaky x ray Bugaboo ad at the bottom of my screen.

Mwah!

DonkeyOaty · 09/09/2015 22:30

It is extremely ODD, innit!

CheesecakeDreams · 09/09/2015 22:38

I like the night thing. But it still seems too bright and the text hurts my eyes?
