Help.... mumsnet page on Kindle

LadyB49 · 07/09/2015 19:41

I am frustrated, can anyone help me.
I use my Kindle to read mumsnet.
Recently the mumsnet page is too wide for the screen so I'm having to slide the page left and right to read the content. It's really getting on my nerves.

It wasn't always like this and it's possible I've inadvertently touched/hit something on Mumsnet page that has altered the setting.

Please, can someone help.

Thank you. Confused

Have you still got the problem, LadyB49?

Hi LadyB49 - it sounds as though you might be using the desktop site and not the mobile site on your Kindle. If you scroll all the way down to the bottom, it should say 'Desktop site' (which is a link to use the desktop site). If it says 'Mobile site', this indicates you're already using the desktop site. Click this link to switch back.

Give that a try and if you're still having trouble, please do let us know.

It sounds to me as if the OP may have done something on her device - is it a touch-screen Kindle LadyB49? (Wondering if you could simply have widened the display in some way and need to pull it back into shape.)

Whoop whoop .......
It said Mobile Site at the bottom. Blush
Clicked it... and all is well. It now says Desktop Site at the bottom.

(When on wrong version I was able to reduce the font to get it all on the page but it was too small to read)

Thank you all.
