In following the Hackergate threads, I've been reading that many MNetters are feeling more aware or feeling the need to be more aware of IT issues. At the moment, they seem to be mostly dealt with in a little sub-topic called Geeky stuff and I've been wondering whether it's time to move that sub-topic away from the cellar and into more prominence with a new name?
I have no firm views on the matter because I'm even wondering whether - particularly given that this is an internet site - there should be a whole topic devoted to IT issues with perhaps some sub-topics on eg Use of Social Media, mobile phones, IT security and so on. I just feel uneasy about the way that the issue seems to be shoehorned into a little back space on the site so I'd welcome others' thoughts.
