Logging in problem

Are we supposed to be able to log in with any NNs we have used, or only with a specific one? I keep having to log in with my email address as it won't let me log in by any of the NNs I can remember, and in the light of Jeffrey et al I'm not keen to keep on doing that. Thanks.

I have resorted to logging in via FB. On another thread I think someone said it's safer to do this anyway, can anyone confirm that?

The pw reset emails I got last night did not have clicky links, I had to c&p them, then they weren't linked to any of my user names so I gave up feeling suspicious. The padlock and https were in the URL.

I can only get on with fb now. I've used up all my email addresses reregistering

I am also confused, I have a username, Sxxxxxxx, and this name change on it

changed the password again for Sxxxxxx, but can only log in with new password and tondelaya.

what's all that about?

I can't log in at all via Safari or the Google app. Had to download the MN app, which is shit, really really shit.

Now even more ! I don't have FB or any other social media so can't log on from anywhere else. I know my new PW is correct because it lets me log in with the PW and my email address. But if I put "EcclefechanTart" and the PW then it says not recognised. I can't remember the NN I initially registered under all those many moons ago - do I need to go and dig it out??

Yes you ought to be able to log in with your current username, it will only work with your current username though. Would you mind checking if it works when you use "EcclefechanTart" and your new password?

I now have no idea what my password is as it kept telling me it had failed but have come on this.page and refreshed it to see if anyone had similar problem and it seems to have logged me in :/

Hi, by current username we mean the one you are posting under currently not the one you chose originally. So for TondelayaDellaVentamiglia you'd sign in with TondelayaDellaVentamiglia and your new password.

Using social media to sign in is also a good way to log in.

I have now re registered (am not one of the previous posters) but had trouble as well. It kept saying my email address was invalid. I am on the list so wanted to change my NN anyway. Do I do anything with the old account or just let it fester in a sorry state of disintegration?
