First world problem in light of hackergate, but are the emoticons not working for anyone else?

I noticed yesterday? Maybe the day before? It does it sporadically, its not particular posts as they can load fine after i notice it. I'll grab a screenshot next time i see it :)

I think I know what you are talking about - words in a little white box rather than the picture? I'm also on safari (iphone). I'm thinking it might have been caused by all the background stuff Tech have been doing the past couple of days

Whew, I'm glad you lot are here to verify this. Feel like a major dick. The original missing emoji has now appeared as a face! Wtaf? It started out in the white box thingy, like snigger fuckoffjeffrey pointed out, but now has morphed into the proper face it should have been.
