chocomochi, the intention was for everyone to get a general email. That's taken so long (and used so many old email addresses) that events have overtaken it and now MN have emailed those on the list. You are not on the list.

I am on The List and got my email at 12.03 about 3 hours after a helpful MN'er told me what I needed to do.

There does seem to be a lot of panic, it feels weird after a big 'event' like this to just go on and post as normal.
somehow what to have for dinner isn't such a pressing question anymore

I have an old account which I cannot get in to (after the last password "issue") and the email attached to that account DID have an email.

It seems ridiculous you are emailing accounts which have been dormant for YEARS but not ones currently in use

The list means nothing really- you should assume your details have been hacked whether or not they are on the list.

However, I have received an email to an email address I used to set up a completely different account on MN many years ago and subsequently never used.

The email sent to me by MN went straight to my Spam folder so I have only just seen it.
I have had emails from MN before and they have never gone to my Spam folder - good thing I checked just now or I wouldn't have seen it. I only checked because someone kindly published the list and I saw my name.

Have now changed my password again, and my email password. Hope that will be enough.

The last email I had from here was yesterday which was a money saver mail shot thing.
