DadSecurity is on there and has posted pages and pages of users usernames and passwords. Mumsnet has deleted them but one has just been posted now.

What do we do now. De register?

Whats just been posted?

GarminGirl · 19/08/2015 00:59

Ip addresses username and passwords.... Of all of us

Someone bank details possibly

HarrietSchulenberg · 19/08/2015 01:06

We all change passwords every day and sit tight TOGETHER till the sad little inadequate plays somewhere else.
The more frequently we change passwords the less value his Twitter postings have.
He alleges he's a father. I feel dreadfully sorry for any child that has to put up with such an inadequate little creature for a dad.

CoteDAzur · 19/08/2015 01:08

Why on God's green Earth would you deregister? MN had already voided ALL passwords. Surely you reset your password today like the rest of us.

How would anyone be able to get your bank details by hacking MN?

HarrietSchulenberg · 19/08/2015 01:27

Cote posts on the 4chan page stated they had a specific poster's bank details by trawling her old posts. It appeared targetted not random.

GarminGirl · 19/08/2015 01:31

Don't underestimate them

SecretNutellaFix · 19/08/2015 01:43

Garmin- there are 3000 odd names, many of them repeated several times and there are over quarter of a million MN registered users.

It's not "all" by a long shot

MadHackedOffGnome · 19/08/2015 01:43

But why would she be posting her bank details on MN in the first place?! All very weird.

differentnameforthis · 19/08/2015 04:06

Someone bank details possibly

MN don't have bank details for us...

Mutt - In your place, I'd inform my bank.

Everyone else - Be calm and change your passwords. That's it.

AnythingNotEverything · 19/08/2015 08:57

Your sort code and account number are on every cheque you write. They're not super secret information.

CoteDAzur · 19/08/2015 11:03

There are things that can be done if you know someone's name and account number in a bank. I'd inform the bank just in case. It doesn't cost anything.
