MNHQ have commented on this thread

It used to be that if MNHQ commented on a thread there would be a little notice at the top and if you clicked on it it took you straight to their post. This doesn't seem to be happening for me any more. Have I turned something off by accident?

I've noticed the same thing-iPhone 4s on the mobile site via safari.

On a Mac on Chrome here and on iPhone + on Safari.

AFAIK they've always been able to use the banner at their ow discretion. So, fore example, add it on a thread that's had a lot of reports but not on one where they're just joining in the banter.

Mind you with all the palava from the last few days anything is possible!

Hi everyone - is this happening with all threads we've commented on or just a few? Do you have the links to any where the blue bar hasn't come up?

Ironically on this very thread here the little notice has appeared at the top.

Is it not discretionary then?

I bookmarked the thread but didn't post so as we all know there's no way of finding it without faff

There are loads of threads on site stuff that don't have the "mumsnet have commented on this thread" at the moment. Are they supposed to?

Agreed - I'm using Chrome on a Windows desktop and on this thread, I can see the banner that MN have commented. On the one PurpleDaisies linked to, I can't.

I just noticed that the blue bar wasn't showing on this thread -

...and saw this thread so it's obviously a bit of an issue. The last comment on this thread was made before the thread I've linked to started so is the lack of blue bar not quite fixed?
