Yesterday when I tried to AS someone it came up with 0 results despite their having started two threads.

Same thing happened to me yesterday ilovesooty. I thought it was just me.

I haven't tried it today so I have no idea if it's been sorted now.

Oh dear, looks like this is still an issue. We'll get Tech to take a look.
