RebeccaMumsnet · 05/08/2015 13:39

QUICK! Make plans for the early hours of tomorrow there may well be some intermittent downtime between 6am and 8am as we make some essential changes at the data centre.

Nothing will change, it's just some backend work Blush

Apologies in advance

It's party time at MN Central, isn't it?

ArseForElbow · 05/08/2015 14:01

BathshebaDarkstone · 05/08/2015 14:31

Thank fuck for Plants vs Zombies! Grin

PennilynLott · 05/08/2015 14:46

Noooo that's prime breastfeeding / peppa pig time. How about 9pm when I'll be asleep?

FruSirkaOla · 05/08/2015 15:13

Thanks for the 'heads-up' Rebecca. I'm often up and MN'ing by then. I guess I'll have to watch Will & Grace and then Everybody Loves Raymond instead? Grin

(PS - it's a bit 'glitchy' this afternoon - Bad Gateway)

MrsVamos · 05/08/2015 15:20

Have you started early, HQ ?

Lots of bad gateways and 'technical hitch' pages coming up.

cozietoesie · 05/08/2015 15:26

Rebecca

Isn't it time that HQ actually scheduled site maintenance eg on a particular morning each week? (That way, your users would become used to it, there wouldn't be the need for announcements such as this and Tech and others could actually plan their work around it.)

DarkEvilMoon · 05/08/2015 15:35

They used to have site maintenance every morning between 1am and 2am. Longest hour ever but it was predictable and not unexpected so you just accepted it. You used to get a little screen shot that said something like "sorry site down for maintence will be back at 2am" although it could have been between 2 &3am, i just know it was in the middle of my most active mn-ing time

Mmmmm.

AllThePrettySeahorses · 05/08/2015 17:03

But ... but ... but ...

That's my main/only guaranteed MN time while dd's otherwise occupied! Do I have to go to the nethuns instead Sad Hmm? Ooh, or TV Tropes Grin?

Sparklingbrook · 05/08/2015 17:05

We will all have to watch Sit Up Britain or whatever it's called. With Susanna Reid and Ben Shepherd. Sad

FruSirkaOla · 05/08/2015 17:11

Sparkling, I think they're going to 'turn it off, pull all the plugs out, count 60 seconds and turn it on again'

honeysucklejasmine · 05/08/2015 18:13

Oh no! What will I do when I wake up at 6.47am to pee for the 100th time and can't get back to sleep?! Buzzfeed better be good tomorrow. Wink

Rumours · 05/08/2015 19:36

The one night in my entire life where I have to be awake for 24 hours for a medical test tomorrow morning and this happens???? I was/am relying on MN to keep me awake. Bad timing hospital appointment Wink
