Sticky threads on android app

I use the android app and in the 'active' bit I have to scroll through pages and pages of ye olde threads (is sticky the right word? The ones with the grey M on that hang around) to get to the current active ones.

I've got stuff dating from January and dead threads about Web chats held in March. Shocking! I want to get straight to the real issues, like online pregnancy diagnoses!

Can I do anything to resolve this? I can't find a hide option.

log out and back in again to clear them (until they build back up again! )

Oh yes. When you log out and back in again there will be a couple of pinned posts, but they just build and build every day until you've had enough and have to log out and back in again.

It's annoying.

I have to log out, then go to 'applications' and clear cache and clear data and then log back in otherwise end up with stickies from July last year....

Sorry this is happening. V annoying. We will look into it and see if there's anything we can do.

It is a known issue already. I have loads too but haven't got round to logging out and in again yet

Yes it's a known issue. And it's not new as it's been like that for as long as I've been using the app. Another mnetter told me about the login in and out fix last year.

I had 4 stickies when I first logged in about 2 house ago. Now I have 10.

The only way that I could think to deal with it was uninstalling and reinstalling as logging out didn't work. So thanks for pointing out I could clear cache and data, that hadn't occured to me

I get this too, and I agree, it's been an issue since forever. And agree with PP that the only way to sort is to clear the data cache on the app, which logs you out, then just log in again.

Last time it was mentioned on here, I think the official line was 'sorry, we know it's annoying, but it will all be sorted in the mythical new app'

Yep, really annoying. I know to log in and out - but every time I do that the threads are all the wrong way up, and I have to change that back as well. First world problem and all that......

Yes it seems to be a standard feature on the app

Also the upside threads after logging in thing is annoying - especially since the page always tells you that they are set to read down the page 'like a book'...oh no they aren't!
