Bumpfest is back! We're thrilled to announce that our one-stop event about pregnancy, birth and beyond returns on Saturday 26 September - and it’s bigger and better than ever. Whether you’re an expectant first-time mum or dad-to-be, or just feel a bit rusty since having your last baby, Bumpfest has the low-down on all that’s in store.

Our brilliant speakers, including sleep expert Andrea Grace and psychologist Penelope Leach, will make sure you’re equipped with the essential skills for life with a newborn. From breast- and bottle-feeding to sleep tricks that really work, right through to picking out a pram and mastering those tricky baby-sling techniques - Bumpfest has it covered. Have a look at the full programme to find out what's on.

Some of our very own MNers will be coming along with their new babies to chat about any birth- and baby-related conundrums you might be grappling with - and our demo area will give you vital hands-on experience of changing nappies, bathing a slippery newborn, positioning a breastfeeding baby and more.

Tickets are valid for the entire day, so you can dip in and out of the sessions or stay for the duration - whatever suits you best. As well as delicious pregnancy-friendly grub (served all day!), comfy seats and plenty of loos Wink, you can grab a shoulder massage or a manicure, and rifle through the rails in our maternity style section. Plus you’ll leave with a fantastic goody bag bulging with lovely stuff for you and your newborn.

Tickets are £35 each, or a bargainous £60 for two - so bring your bump, your partner, a friend, or the soon-to-be doting grandparents - all are welcome! Book now, tell ALL your pregnant friends via Facebook or Twitter using the share buttons on this page, and we’ll see you there!

Please send Bumpfest on tour! We're up in Newcastle ... I'm sure there are a ton of preggy ladies and dads-to-be who would love to attend up here!

Babsthebunny · 23/07/2015 19:22

Where is this being held

KatePMumsnet · 27/07/2015 11:02

Hi UpNorth74 great suggestion, we're looking into it... Babsthebunny it's at Bafta on Piccadilly, London, really hope you can join us? Check out the website for more details - guests will be able to dip into which ever sessions they like, learn about first aid for babies, talk to an expert 1-2-1 and enjoy some treats too. Please come along, it'll be a fantastic day!

Hi tinyme135, Bumpfest kicks off at 11am so good to aim to get into London for around 10.30am depending on which station you come into. Closest tube stations to BAFTA are Piccadilly Circus and Green Park. Thanks, P

Hi
Food for thought article here about whether or not our other halves should be at the birth... altmagazine.co.uk/childbirth-men-present/

I would second bumpfest oop north. Would love to take my pg sister to this, but the travel is just too costly.

Mummyofonesofar · 21/09/2015 09:32

Another wish for an up North bumpfest! Would be good to have a few shops all come together with demonstrations so we only have to go to one place!!
