More Goady Fuckers

Can we agree that if a poster starts a thread with a goady OP and doesn't return, they are a goady fucker. Can we also agree that if they haven't returned within the first three pages, they probably aren't going to.

if the thread annoys you just hide it

really, its that simple

TendonQueen · 17/05/2015 21:44

Name changing is allowed. Sock puppeting isn't.

Well, quite Badgers. Didn't you realise that this website is for those of us without one of those? Grin

Okay, I got my reply and tbh I am a bit shocked.

I reported a post which accused someone of trolling and this is what HQ said:

'...although she uses the word 'trolling' we don't think she actually means it in the sense of 'you are a troll and are not the person you claim to be' that we refer to when we say that we don't condone troll hunting. We are increasingly finding that people use the word 'troll' when really they just mean that they think someone is stirring the pot or being a little goady, which we don't encourage, but we wouldn't actually zap people for.'

So, if we think someone is 'stirring the pot' or 'being a little goady' we can accuse them of trolling Shock

Love report don't retort...

thing is, if people who suspected a thread of being started by a gf just didn't post on it then it would just disappear off of active and that would be the end of that. I do occasionally report threads which seem to have been started deliberatly to goad but on the whole ignorance is the best policy IMO.

It concerns me more that there seem to be more and more threads which are posted on the supportive boards i.e. relationships with thousands and thousands of supportive responses running into multiple threads which I am convinced are not genuine but which play on very emotive topics and therefore get a lot of support. I've reported some of those too, including one which has been ongoing over the past few weeks where op hasn't posted anywhere else but on their thread but it seems that it's a lot harder to establish someone as being a fake these days and so the threads are left to stand, and posters become incredibly, and imo unhealthily invested in someone's life story which probably doesn't even exist.

in fact I have reported threads recently where mn hq have responded that they agree it looks dodgy but with no evidence there's nothing they can do.
