Just seen this one and thought I'd ask.

Are gambling ads on the approved list?

I think Most ads are based on your browsing history. I'm currently seeing car seats from Kiddicare at the top of my page because I was browsing them earlier.

Have you been on any betting sites recently OP?

FruChristerOla · 11/04/2015 16:50

Mumsnet 'hosts' AdChoices ads on this site, over which they have little control.

So what TheWhite said, some of the ads you see are based on your own browsing history!

Having said that, MNHQ does like to know about these unacceptable AdChoice ads, because they can hunt them down and block them from posting posting here.

"posting posting"?!?!

Sorry, make that just one 'posting' Grin

I know, but the closest I've come to betting sites is reading about horse injuries at the Grand National!

Yes Fru, I thought they might want to block this.

Hi Empress,

As Fru said, the ads which pop up will vary between users, and are based on your browsing history. However, the odd rogue ad can sometimes sneak through. We'll get this one checked out by our Tech team.

Thanks very much for flagging it. Smile

"I know, but the closest I've come to betting sites is reading about horse injuries at the Grand National!"

.... and the words 'horse' and 'Grand National', on the day of the Grand National is why these betting sites appear Grin

Anyway, MNHQ is on the case now Star
