MN keeps closing

Using MN on my Samsung Galaxy S4. It keeps suddenly closing while I am reading and reverting to my home screen. When I go back in I've lost my place. Very annoying.

Hi there Losingmyreligion - could we just ask if you're using the mobile site or the app?

Losingmyreligion · 01/04/2015 12:24

I'm using the mobile site (as the app had such bad reviews).

I've been having the same problem (also on the mobile site). It's only been happening for a week or so, though, was always fine before.

Gileswithachainsaw · 01/04/2015 12:30

I thought it was my phone crashing. This is a relief. also on a galaxy note 3 and using mobile site.

app doesn't even work

Bakeoffcake · 01/04/2015 12:36

Is happening to me too on an iPad.

There lwas a thread last week, in site stuff about it and Tech was looking into it.

FluffyTheEvilOne · 01/04/2015 12:39

I'm relieved too that it's not just my ipad or internet connection throwing a wobbly. It only happens when I try to move to a different page.

Losingmyreligion · 02/04/2015 11:03

Grrr. It just happened again. Happily reading away and then pffft.

Mine just did it again too, after nearly 24 blissful hours of good behaviour. Angry

Chuffin' technology...

DawnMumsnet · 02/04/2015 12:01

Thanks for letting us know about this. And sorry!

We'll flag it to our Tech folk and see what's going on.

FluffyTheEvilOne · 02/04/2015 12:36

Thankyou MN Smile

Poofus · 02/04/2015 13:14

So it's not just Safari then?

LRB978 · 03/04/2015 10:54

Mobile site on a windows phone here. Glad it's not just me.

MrsBertMacklin · 04/04/2015 10:35

Same here, I asked about it on this thread Tech were going to get back to us...

IrenetheQuaint · 05/04/2015 11:27

Me too, Sony Ericsson Xperia

IonaMumsnet · 05/04/2015 17:18

Hi folks. No news we're afraid, but as a couple of posters have flagged up, yes, if you're using Safari, there is an issue at the moment with Safari crashing various websites and a lot of Mumsnetters are being affected by it. Tech are looking into workarounds etc. It might be worth checking back on the other thread in Site Stuff on this if you're on Safari. Apologies again for any problems.
