Is there any way you could make Privmessages like a conversation?

So that I look back on the backwards & forwards of the conversation?

It's really hard that the messages & replies are separate

Hi there KatyMac - we'll pop this on our list of things to consider for the future.

Thanks so much for the suggestion Smile

No-one else seems to care - mind you that might be my awful typing.....

Thank you

Great idea, seconded :)

gruffaloshmuffalo · 01/04/2015 22:12

Great idea!

Great idea. Problem is, what would happen if you spoke to someone who was using different names, or if we were using different names?

ZeroFunDame · 01/04/2015 22:23

It's true - the PM format is very awkward to use; not at all flow-y.

MrsLettuce · 01/04/2015 22:28

Imperial - if you start a PM convo with someone and you / they NC and reply then the PMs stay in the original names. Always.

I never really PM but I do remember needing to C&P the previous message to reply to any sense on the occasions I have.

MrsLettuce · 01/04/2015 22:36

That makes it sound like I'm a massive sneaky PMer Hmm It's cause the whole name change protection thing was a massive and endless point of discussion / fuss / whatnot when we switched over from CATs. An elephant never forgets.

It is strange that the PMs are 'threaded' in that sense but not in the actual messages.

KatyMac · 01/04/2015 23:06

I have to do the copy & paste thing as my brain doesn't remember stuff

I agree this would be very helpful - often I'll get a reply to a PM and not remember what my own previous message was!
