Bad Gateway and Excruciatingly Slow Loading

Has made a very unwelcome reappearance at 1.00 am this morning.

It has taken 45 minutes and 100's of attempts to add this thread.

It happens at roughly the same time every time it happens.

It is damn annoying.

Yep me too, since one am.

It's never completely gone away for me. Gets better briefly then back to slow loading, gateway errors etc. It's really frustrating.

Ah - I thought it was my phone/wifi! I'm glad I'm not the only one.

MNHQ - please sort it out! TIA.

Not getting the bad gateway currently, but pages are terribly slow loading or not loading at all. All other websites are fine (ipad, safari)

No bad gateway here either, which is why I missed this thread initially.
Windows 8.1 as well as ipad.

MN has been painfully slow for the past 24 hours. I prefer it when the glitch of the day is an interesting one!

Hi everyone - we're sorry this problem seems to be sneaking back in.

Can we just ask what devices and browsers you are using?

Slowness on iOS 8 Safari on iPAD, Win8 Chrome on Laptop.

It is pretty random though, sometimes a page is displayed quickly, other times it seems to hang for 20-30seconds or so. Posting is the same, sometimes it is quick other times it sits there with the greyed out post button.

Same as nannynick, chrome on a laptop and slowness is sporadic.

Becca I think you need to do more than just cross your fingers.

At exactly 0100 this morning the slow loading, not loadingrrr and bad gateway started again. It is making the site unusable.

At the risk of asking the bleeding obvious is there a programme set to run on your servers at 0100 that could be causing this disruption? It is too much of a coincidence that it happens at exactly the same time every time.

I tried to post this message earlier and after 5 minutes it still hadn't posted, you usually sense it's about to happen as you have to click post twice before a message posts on a thread and it is slow, after that it is all downhill.

This message froze part way through.

On Chrome on Asus tablet, mobile site. Bad gateway here too. Painfully slow for a lot of yesterday, but timing out now.

Ironic that I had this exact problem trying to open this thread!

It's not just 1am, seems OK now for me but tea time yesterday the site was unusable.

Tech have found out what the problem is and have been working on a fix, so it should be back to normal soon.

I'm getting a message saying that the "response cannot be parsed". I'm on an iPhone 6+. Not techy so not sure what operation system but oresume the most up to date one

Bad gateway errors happening again at one am last night till one thirty (I gave up at that point)

Still bad, struggling to post at the moment.
