I've asked for a thread to be deleted - how long does it take please?

It will depend on whether they agree to delete it.
They don't delete threads just because you ask.
Why do you want it removed?

Because I posted waaay to much personal information on it! And now I am paranoid! When I google my employment issue it comes up as well- meaning if the issue I had today is googled by all involved it will show in the results!

(Yep- feeling mega crap now)

I have reported it twice! Third time I think I put too much info in it

Thank you - but it is clearly me if anyone in work decides to look at it. They have said no (after posting me thread) so I think it will cause a lot of anger if anyone in my work reads it!

Aww. That seems a bit hardline to me. Nobody has exactly invested too much in it, so who would be bothered or inconvenienced by it going ? And you would feel better.

I've hidden it and it's moved to 30 days.
What does hiding a thread do?

(extremely long term lurker, rare post and clearly have just got my fingers burned so will go back to my usual lurking MN addiction )

Also what will happen if I report the posts?
They have looked at it for me now / still won't delete it (plleeeaaaassee Hq) as it's not too incriminating

"30 days" section means it will be disappear after 30 days

The more yyou post this, the more people will as your username and look up your thread.
If it's moved to 30 days it'll go poof then.

I hope they change their minds for you - or at least shift it to otbt so it's not googleable

If I was your employer and I looked at your thread I don't see that you have said anything in it that could get you into trouble. I hope it's resolved for you.
