Safari crashing

cocacola1 · 03/03/2015 16:51

It happens when I open a topic such as chat, the page will load, then as soon as the advert appears safari crashes, this will happen several times until an advert appears that safari isn't upset by

Iphone 6, iOS 8.1.3

Are you browsing the mobile site??

Mammabear31 · 03/03/2015 19:57

I get this too on safari! I thought it was just my rubbish phone.

Mammabear31 · 03/03/2015 19:58

And yes, on mobile site

cocacola1 · 03/03/2015 20:16

Still happening for me too; very frustrating!!!!

Lweji · 12/03/2015 13:47

I too keep having problems with Safari. Since the new mobile site was implemented, but thought MNHQ had just given up.

Very rarely it will open the page, sometimes I only see it after giving up on it for several hours.
Not sure if it has to do with the ads shown, as at other times (rarely) I have no problem loading the pages.
It's for any topic, AIBU, Relationships, Active and I'm On.

Halsall · 12/03/2015 13:50

Don't know whether this is the same problem but on my iPad i continually get an error message about 'cannot parse response'. Usually when I try to post.

NO idea what this means but it's bloody annoying. Has been happening for about a week.

BeccaMumsnet · 12/03/2015 15:09

Hi everyone - could we just check if everyone is using the mobile site on Safari (either iPad or iPhone)? And which iOS are you all using?

IsadoraJ · 12/03/2015 15:20

This happens for me aswell, but only when I try to load Active Conversations from the bookmark I have, it gets so far then just crashes safari. However it loads fine when I access the site by typing in the web address.

I'm on the mobile site on an iPhone and on IOS 8.2

Mammabear31 · 12/03/2015 16:10

I'm getting "Cannot Parse Response" too, WTF is parse??

Also on mobile site, IOS 8.2.

Lweji · 12/03/2015 16:12

I am still on iPod touch with iOS 4 or 5.

I have been blaming mostly on it being old. BUT... it's fine for ALL other sites.

Halsall · 12/03/2015 18:19

iPad, Safari, IOS 8.1 here.

Halsall · 12/03/2015 18:25

Interestingly, am on iPhone (also Safari and IOS 8.1) and it just froze before I could finish my previous message, which is a new thing.

Was going to say that the problem happens when I'm on the desktop site (sorry but I still hate the new mobile one. Amongst other issues, I can't for the life of me work out how to put a watch on a thread!).

No other site seems to cause the same issue, either. So it appears to be MN, unfortunately.

samlamb · 20/03/2015 21:39

This is happening to me on my iPad too. I click on a thread from active conversations and it kicks me out and crashes

Cookiesallforme · 20/03/2015 21:41

Getting fed up with this now. Been like it for 3 days and seems to be getting worse. Safari I pad.

DawnMumsnet · 21/03/2015 00:07

Hi all,

We're doing our absolute best to get to the bottom of this issue. We'll update as soon as we can.

In the meantime, sorry for all the faff. Sad

thornrose · 21/03/2015 00:09

Same for me on iPad not on mobile site. As soon as I click on a new thread I get kicked out.
