Can't post on desktop site from PC

I don't know whether it's just me for for the last few days I can't post anything from my pc without switching to mobile site.

I can write the message OK but when I press either post or preview nothing happens. ( Create conversation apparently doesn't work either.)

Using Firefox on a Windows 8 PC

I had this and it turned out to be some sort of glitch with the FF extensions - I think I had to fiddle with Adblock Plus to post. Could you check what extensions you have live?

That's helpful, thanks. Only problem is I have no idea what to unblock Blush.

I was having so much trouble with loads of the more intrusive ads that I blocked everything I could, but that was a while ago and this is a recent problem.

Can you remember what you did by any chance?

Sorry - I've been out for the morning.

I'm trying to remember precisely what I did. The trouble came on me unexpectedly certainly but then the various browsers and sites we all use are always changing so something could be fine one day and then an amendment has an unforeseen consequence the next.

I have a feeling that I had to temporarily disable Adblock Plus on Mumsnet to retrieve the ability to post - although I've had to run FF in total safe mode at later stages for various reasons. Could you check to see whether you have Adblock Plus enabled? (If so, it should show as a red 'ABP' sign - rather like a traffic sign - on the top of your FF toolbar, about 3 or 4 in from the right.)

If you have it enabled, try disabling it 'on the current page' - via the instructions linked in the down arrow next to it - and see if that makes any difference. (It should go black.) That won't permanently affect anything, it's just a check which can be reversed again if needed.
