Is there a minimum number of votes needed for someone to make it on to the list? :(

No, I don't think so. It's probably just that whoever they were matched with, for whatever reason, wasn't able to send something. It's a complicated thing to organise, and possible to cock up easily too.

Maybe it would be better to mail HQ directly? It's just that this thread could so easily turn into a secret santa- bashing exercise for people who have gripes about it, and it will end up upsetting people.

BIWI · 21/02/2015 12:44

What BOF said.

Keep this off the boards and talk to MNHQ directly.

I thought that this year they had was offers of gifts than nominations? Seem to recall a thread about it.

ClashCityRocker · 21/02/2015 12:57

Less, not was. As in they had more people nominated than they had gifts for.

SolomanDaisy · 21/02/2015 12:59

Yes, I think I read that too. It was the house first year there were more nominees than gifts, I think.

JuniperTisane · 21/02/2015 13:08

There were originally more nominees than gifts, but I know that I wasn't the only Santa to my matched nominee.

I can't imagine MNHQ matched multiple posters to some nominees and none to others. There must have been some kind of mistake or lost gift I think.

TheOnlyOliviaMumsnet · 21/02/2015 13:44

Hello
SantaMN doesn't work weekends I'm afraid but there's absolutely NO votes or anything needed, that's not what MN is about.
Please do drop us a line with specifics - if there are gifts that have gone astray we can take a look behind the scenes.
Thanks so much

Stratter5 · 21/02/2015 13:57

No, she wasn't even notified that she'd been nominated. Nothing, so not a gift gone astray, she simply wasn't included. :(

I'll PM you OliviaMN, thanks.

"As in they had more people nominated than they had gifts for."

I'd already offered to send a gift to one MNer. But when MNHQ started the thread asking for more people to donate, I then said I'd send to a separate recipient too. All well and good.

Both of my SS recipients are are in the UK, I sent them both the same gift (a voucher - but with a personalised note) on the same day - by Royal Mail and to be 'Signed For'.

One of the recipients responded on the thread - the other ..... I have no idea whether she got it.

I have the Royal Mail delivery/signed for information. Mainly I worry that she's OK - or maybe someone else 'highjacked' my gift to her?

Stratter5 · 24/02/2015 15:59

I've not heard anything, could you tell me which other MNHQer I need to PM, please.

Sorry Stratters - Santa isn't back in the office yet, but when they are we'll make sure they get on this straight away.

Stratter5 · 24/02/2015 18:23

Thank you KateMN Flowers

@Stratter5

Sorry Stratter5 - meant to say - no need to PM anyone - I have passed your PM onto SantaSandy - but as K said she's not back until tmw slacker wink.

NB FOR ANYONE READING - best not to PM HQ folk, as we are often slacking AWOL and away from the screen - email us or report a post -MUCH better way of ensuring a reply.
Thanks ever so

Stratter5 · 27/02/2015 01:49
