Gosh. That doesn't sound like us.
Are you in the uK?

GwenStacy · 20/02/2015 21:47

Yup, UK based - screenshot in the previous post shows the bit of the ad saying about cutting your tax. It's an ad for www.optimaprofessional.co.uk

Thanks Gwen we'll look into

While we're on the subject, I'm getting ads for winning/earning 3,000 DOLLARS. How does your advertising work - do you have any control over it?

TheOnlyOliviaMumsnet · 21/02/2015 09:05

Hi Agent
As a rule we do, but some of our ads are hosted by a third party but there is a list of things that we don't accept = hence things like this sometimes slipping through the net - as soon as we're aware we do our damnedest to remove pdq.
Do screenshot anything that you're concerned about
Thanks

Olivia, presumably Agent is seeing ads hosted by Ad Choice - a bit like this one?

Agent, the giveaway is the little blue arrow in the top right hand corner.

Much of these ads appearance is to do with your own internet searching!

'Tis not MNHQ's fault, but MNHQ is damn good at hunting them down - as long as we tell them - and they'll zap'em Grin

I've been searching all day, and I can't find any now! Smile

It was the banner ads along the top of the mobile site, but it was an American gambling company - nit something related to any of my searches... (If it was an advert for cheese or wine, that would definitely be to do with my searches!)
