Getting rid of sticky threads on mobile app

Auriga · 24/01/2015 14:23

Sorry if I've missed obvious instructions somewhere but how can I do this ? My Active Conversations on the mobile is filled with sticky threads I don't want to read.

Thanks in advance

Hi there, sorry for the delay but the tech team is back now and we are finding out the best way for you to do this. Stand by for help, it is coming...

dementedpixie · 26/01/2015 10:04

log out and log back in again. It will clear them for a while before they all build back up again!

YetAnotherHelenMumsnet · 26/01/2015 12:03

Thanks dementedpixie. Other than that, though, we hear back from Tech that the ability to remove stickies is not supported on the app, unfortunately. There should only be about four, though, do you have more?

dementedpixie · 26/01/2015 13:20

I have 59 at the moment that have built up so will log off and back in soon to clear them. It is a pain having to scroll through them to find where the actual threads start

dementedpixie · 26/01/2015 13:22

After logging off and on I now have 5 rather than 59!

UnrelatedToElephants · 26/01/2015 13:22

I seem to remember this was a known problem on the android app - they just build up and up but never clear (until you log out). I have 11 at the moment.

RebeccaMumsnet · 26/01/2015 13:25

Hi all,

If you logout and back into the app, you should just have the normal stickies.

In other news, our shiny new app is at the early testing stage and will be available in the not-so-far away future Grin

Auriga · 26/01/2015 18:16

Thanks everyone

Rebecca, is that the android or ios app? I don't use apple so no idea about the ios, but the android app is a pita a bit annoying. And if you're still working on it, can you ask the lovely and obliging techies to make it possible to know who has written a guest post? At the moment I can only see a MNHQ poster name on guest posts, so no idea who actually wrote it. Thanks Wine

SantasFavouriteHo · 27/01/2015 18:15

I've logged in and out multiple times, it just doesn't clear them! I have them from July last year! Angry

StrikesMatches · 27/01/2015 21:47

Santas, have you tried clearing your cache/cookies or some other techie word someone said . I had to go into my app settings, go to the MN app and clear data.

holmessweetholmes · 28/01/2015 10:07

I have to go to the App Manager under Settings on my phone and clear cache and clear data. Then all the stickies disappear. You will probably need to re-login then though.
