Little blonde girl crying

There is a pic of a little blonde girl crying - something to do with toddler meltdowns.

I could be wrong but it seems that all the angry/ stroppy photos of DCs used on your pages are girls. Are little boys never angry or stroppy?

It might be worth you having a check on this.

And does no one but Davina ever go sugar free?!

TheOnlyOliviaMumsnet · 23/01/2015 22:20

Hi there
Think this is an image provided by the blogger and not MN -we're certainly know all too well that little boys have toddler strops.
Thanks

kellywellykingkong · 23/01/2015 22:25

Is it a picture of a girl? It looks as likely to be a boy to me.

It might be worth you having a check on this, OP.

BertieBotts · 23/01/2015 22:27

Weird, the blog images aren't usually provided by bloggers, I often follow blog links and they're never the same ones as in the post itself.

(I don't really care if it's a boy or a girl but thought I would add that)

BMO · 23/01/2015 22:29

How can you tell if it's a girl or a boy?

TheOnlyOliviaMumsnet · 23/01/2015 22:53

Forgive me I may be wrong on the bloggers pix thing (not my dept) and I also read my post back and felt it was a bit sniffy which I didn't mean. So I wanted to add - thanks for noting this - we will look into and check, and do our utmost to ensure we're not gender biasing strops or smiles for that matter.

As for Davina - that's just the latest addition to our YouTube channel
HTH
let us know if not
Thanks as ever

alienbump · 23/01/2015 23:10

I think it's a boy in the pic isn't it? The blog is about a boy anyway.

Sorry, didn't read the blog! It could be a boy.

Fadingmemory · 24/01/2015 09:40

heartisaspade, I so agree that the picture is horrible. It brings back awful memories of traumatic supermarket trips, abandoned jaunts to the park, the feelings of utter helplessness and such joy that I do not have to look at the contorted face of a screaming toddler. No, I do not want parenthood to be depicted as one long joyful event but I will be so glad when it is taken down.

I wish you would take it down now MN or ask the blogger to do it. You won't of course but thought I would ask anyway.

MarshaBrady · 25/01/2015 13:13

It is an awful pic, is it due to change soon?

Avaline · 25/01/2015 13:24

it is indeed a truly awful pic to keep seeing. Really really grating and unhappy making.

please take it down.

It's horrible. How would you like to be photographed whilst really upset? Abusive.

MuddhaOfSuburbia · 25/01/2015 13:27

yy

getting on my tits also

those days of seeing great gaping maws of crying toddlers are WELL behind me and I don't want to be reminded of them all day every time I visit the site

TheOnlyOliviaMumsnet · 25/01/2015 21:21

@Fadingmemory

Sad at "you won't of course."
We did we did we did! Crying girl less sad now Smile

Sorry weekends are sometimes trickier to do things swiftly.
Thanks all

TitchyThings · 25/01/2015 23:08

I think it's very unpleasant to have several versions of this little girl having a tantrum all day. I think that it's an invasion of her privacy for one thing. Do you think she was asked if she minded? I wouldn't have thought so somehow.

Avaline · 25/01/2015 23:39

I do so agree with titchy.

It seems very poor form, and v stressful, to visit MN, and to be put in the position of the constant witness.

Behooven · 25/01/2015 23:44

I didn't mind it, I looked at it with a touch of humour in a 'been there, seen it, worn the t shirt' slant. It's hardly abusive.

ChippingInLatteLover · 25/01/2015 23:45

Oh for the love of god. Abusive? Invasion of privacy?

If you'd ever seen real abuse you wouldn't be using the words so lightly.

TitchyThings · 26/01/2015 02:35

How is it not an invasion of privacy? I wouldn't want a picture of me mid-tantrum gawped at by hundreds or indeed millions of MNetters.

Give the kid a break, someone will stick that pic in the local paper on her 18th birthday.

TitchyThings · 26/01/2015 02:39

The same photo was showing last year too, she might be feeling older and embarrassed already.

CheerfulYank · 26/01/2015 03:08

Oh good Lord.

There's a picture of me, age 3, screaming the house down because I could no longer wear my favorite shoes. (Couldn't squeeze them on anymore.)

I do not feel victimized.

TitchyThings · 26/01/2015 03:43

Yes CheerfulYank, that may be, but I wouldn't want to see a pic of you screaming every time I looked at MN either.

Were they published in full colour, in the local paper by any chance?

Moniker1 · 26/01/2015 08:41

AhAaaaaahhhh!

It was a little girl after all, so perhaps my claim that the sad/stroppy DC pics are usually girls is right.

OP posts:
CheerfulYank · 26/01/2015 09:22

No, unfortunately.

I coulda been somebody! :(

Armpitt · 26/01/2015 09:24

i like davina but she can fuck right off with all the diet shit
