Yes please.

There are things that can be done (for example, limiting the power to post links to people who have already posted X times on the site/been registered for x months or so on, or requiring all people who want to post to have lodged a cc or whatever (these are just examples)) but they're liable to have significant effects on the useability of the site as it currently operates. As would eg active moderation.

Thanks for the reports, we do zap them as quickly as possible and if they persist, we ban their accounts with us. Spammers like this do tend to come in waves but soon stop when they realise that we don't allow that sort of thing on MN.

Please keep reporting and we will keep zapping, if it carries on beyond January then we will look at other tech solutions. We do have a few up our sleeves [TSSDNCOP] and we are using them, but please keep reporting and we will have a look at the process if they persist.

I have just reported another FOUR.

Yep - we can make it more difficult for them but as yet haven't worked out a way to completely stop them. Thanks for the reports though - we WILL prevail, yes we will
