Hello lovely MNHQers. Are we still allowed humour on the site? <lighthearted>

Sorry the title is somewhat tongue in cheek before I get deleted, but there is a concern that gently ironic threads are getting pulled very hastily at the moment.

I'm just posting in site stuff so it will come up on your radar.

It would be great to have an answer to this.

DropYourSword · 30/12/2014 10:54

What even was it, I missed it

Ducking conts.

Pagwatch · 30/12/2014 11:00

I'd be really really really interested to know how many posters reported it.

If it was in the vicinity of three, what about the reports made the thread deletion-worthy?

If it was in the vicinity of 300, does it not worry you that the site is attracting such arseholes?

Watching with interest

Pagwatch · 30/12/2014 11:08

Yes. I am grimly aware of that.

I've been here a decade. I am always immensely supportive of mnhq but the tide of lowest common denominator has finally got to me.

Pagwatch · 30/12/2014 11:13

I woulD also love one of the people who reported the thread to help me understand what the hell made them find it so dreadful that they needed it deleted.

People post threads saying 'what can I do about the SN child in my DDs class' and they get a reminder about 'this is my child' but a thread about calling your child the Magnificent and teaching them ninja is too beyond the pale to stand

CuttedUpPear · 30/12/2014 11:16

I like Benjamin The Great and it reminded me of why I stayed here in the first place.

There's too much bolleaux on here since the great PB backwash.
I find the lowest common denominator theme is taking us dangerously close to hun territory and NOT what MN is about at all.

thornrose · 30/12/2014 11:18

I'd like to hear MNHQ reasoning on this too.

ThomasLynn · 30/12/2014 11:21

I'd like to know, too. I don't post often at all, but I enjoyed that thread.

If MN goes all 'hunny' on me I'll have to do something drastic.

Perhaps I'll turn out the pantry, I'll get that desperate.

BoreOfWhabylon · 30/12/2014 11:24

I've reported the OP, in the hope of getting a response from MNHQ.

Samcro · 30/12/2014 11:25

Hi all,

We've posted on Pag's thread to keep it all in one place.

TiggyD · 30/12/2014 12:22

OK. I won't post on this thread then.

TiggyD · 30/12/2014 12:22

Apart from just then.

TiggyD · 30/12/2014 12:23

And that one too. And now I come to think of it, this one as well.

MardyBra · 30/12/2014 12:23

How long will this continue tiggy?

OP posts:
TiggyD · 30/12/2014 12:24

It won't. I've totally stopped now.

TiggyD · 30/12/2014 12:25

Shit! Apart from that one.

TiggyD · 30/12/2014 12:25

And that one and this one. No more from now on!
