Tech - can we have a wildcard search please?!

So when people change their names you can still find their messages by using the bit of their name that stayed the same, like Arfishy*

If is easy can you also enable the rest of the advanced type searchy stuff so we also do things like (Arfishy*) -(lego,"cat food") for those of us dance on the dark side of computing?

yep - would definitely be useful when you can't quite remember someones username. Maybe you could restrict it to usernames only - not the other search options.

Helllooooo.... I'll have a look at how big a deal it is to add wildcards to the nickname search. It should be fairly straightforward I think.
