I have Windows 8 with Internet Explorer 11 (rarely used) and Firefox (whatever the latest version is, I updated it this week).

In Firefox the 'post message' or ctrl-enter do nothing but they used to work. In Internet Explorer they work fine.

That's version 34.05 of Firefox - which says it is up to date. I hate using IE and am having to just so as I can post on MN.

Check whether you have any FF extensions in play? (I found that one of them at least removes the ability to post along with a couple of other bits and bobs.)

PS - you may have to disable it on mumsnet.com if you do have one running.
