Help! redirected to porn site via mumsnet !!

Just came on to mumsnet. Clicked onto threads I'm on, and was redirected to a porn site. Is this a problem anyone else has had? Is it sone thing to do mumsnet site or a problem with my device? What can I do to protect my phone?

Sounds like you have a virus.

It's happening to lots of us. Look at the 'active convo redirecting to porn' thread.

I keep seeing threads about this. It must be a virus as it isn't happening to me from any of the (virus protected) devices I am using.

I have a virus protected device. If anyone could advise on what it might to do to my phone and how to stop it that would be great. I am very concerned about this.

It's not a virus on your device, it's on the mumsnet end. There's more info and details on the other thread, someone there clicked something accidently that charged them but they got a refund.

If you're connecting though mobile data rather than WiFi you could try ringing your provider and asking them to put a block on over 18 sites. When I was on Vodafone that was the default.
